Why was I charged sales tax?
The Republic of Tea is required by state and local laws to collect sales tax where applicable. This includes locations where we have a tax obligation, and the tax amount may vary depending on several factors related to the order.
How is sales tax calculated?
Sales tax is applied to eligible purchases shipped within the United States. The amount is based on:

Are international orders subject to additional taxes or duties?
Yes. Orders shipped outside the U.S. may be subject to local taxes, duties, or customs fees, which vary by destination and are the responsibility of the recipient.

Shipping charges are calculated separately for each delivery address. For example, if you send items to yourself and a friend, shipping will be calculated for each destination individually.

Priority shipping delivers Tuesday through Saturday.
